Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President, served from 1913 to 1921. Wilson is best known for his leadership during World War I and his efforts to establish the League of Nations, which he saw as a means to ensure lasting peace. His vision of international cooperation and collective security was embodied in his famous Fourteen Points, which outlined principles for peace negotiations following the war. Although the U.S. did not ultimately join the League of Nations, Wilson’s ideas paved the way for the modern United Nations.

Domestically, Wilson pushed for progressive reforms, including the Federal Reserve Act and the Federal Trade Commission, which sought to regulate the economy and promote fairness in business practices. He also led the U.S. through the early stages of the Great Depression and implemented important labor and social welfare programs. Wilson’s presidency marked a significant turning point in both domestic and foreign policy.
